A New Way for the Blog

I logged in today and noticed that your last update was on February 14th.  Not really a good thing from my point of view.  Primarily because there are a hundred things I want to say to you and have you be able to remember them.

But writing a full blog takes real time my love - and while you are worth the time - it also takes real privacy and secrecy to write.  Those are things I rarely have in my life.

So I decided that small entries are better than no entries.  So from here on in, you will just have to check the blog from time to time to see what I have added.  It may be a few paragraphs, it may be a simple memory i want to re-share with you, or a song lyric or just something I think you will enjoy.

It will retain that personal and intimate nature and it will remain for your eyes only.

So here is entry number one.

Today on my walk to work, I saw a young couple holding hands.  They looked really happy.  They must have been, because they maintained that hand holding through some heavy city walk traffic.  It made me wonder how they would be doing 10 years from now, 15 years from now, or even 30 years from now.

Would they still be holding hands?  Fighting through city traffic firmly gripped in one another's hand?  Would holding that hand still be important to them?  Would it still be worth that fighting effort?

We still hold hands.  Often.  We held hands in the grocery store yesterday.  It was only for a short time, but as inconvenient a place as the grocery store can be, we managed to do it for about 10 seconds anyway.  And its been more than 30 years for us.

So while that couple might be strangers to me, I sure hope they couple find 10 seconds at the grocery store 30 years from now as well.

You're the world to me.  I love you more than anything in the world.
